It’s a good thing I’ve got honest neighbors.<\/p>\n
\nEvery morning before I leave for work I have a checklist that I go over in my head. Since it takes just over an hour to get to work, it’s not like I can zip home during a break and get something I’ve forgotten. It’s a short list, but important.<\/p>\n
Do I have everything I need? (laptop, phone, wallet, keys, etc.)Is there anything special I was supposed to do or bring?Was I supposed to print anything for work? (My printer is better than the school’s, and I buy good paper.)<\/p>\n
Are all the lights (and stereo and anything else) turned off?<\/p>\n
Are the windows shut?<\/b><\/p>\n
Yeah, off all the things to forget, I went off to work today and left a window open. At my old place that wouldn’t have been a big deal.<\/p>\n
But since I’m living on the first floor now….<\/b><\/p>\n
Thankfully, my neighbors are an honest bunch. (Well, they seem to be anyway.) Even so, I won’t be trying to test (or tempt) them.<\/p>\n
