Josta was good stuff, tasting more fruity than cola-esque and kind of a reddish-purplish-blacky color. Hmmm, that’s not a very good description. Let’s try that again.

It looks like carbonated venous blood.

That alone is a good enough reason to drink it, never mind the supposed energy effects of guarana and dragonfruit. It was actually one of Pepsi’s better off-beat concoctions.

Unlike that liquid abortion, Pepsi Blue.

I dug Josta when it was around, and was sorry to see it vanish. I’d figured Pepsi gave the energy niche a go and decided to cut their losses.

That’s what I’d thought, anyway.

A couple weeks ago I was in Seiyu (my local grocers) and saw something called “Pepsi X.” It was labeled as “Energy Cola” and that sounded like something I could make use of on some of my longer days at work. I grabbed a bottle, took it home and stuck it in the fridge to chill. I cracked it open the next day and damned if it didn’t taste familiar. I knew right away that I’d had it before, but it took a whole ‘nother day for the name (Josta) to come back to me. I still really like it, and have since taken to drinking it with some regularity. Which means it’ll be off the market in a few weeks.

Just like most every other product I find here that I decide I can’t live without. ^.^

["post-313","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry
["GET
