Drink it all up.
One of the fun things (for me, anyways) about going to other countries is seeing how familiar products are different. In Japan, it’s been the unending flow of new (and sometimes odd) flavors of Kit-Kat.
In Australia it was Coke.
Now, I’ve always liked Pepsi more than Coke. It’s just tastes sweeter to me. But when I saw “Coke with Lime” in Australia, I figured I’d give it a shot.
Good call.
I never cared much for the Lemon (okay) or Vanilla (nasty) Coke flavors, but the Lime was damned tasty. Aside from beer, I drank more of this stuff than anything else during my trip. And why not? I knew it wasn’t out in Japan, and probably won’t be for quite some time.
If ever.
Maybe it sounds like a silly thing to make a point of doing on vacation, but it amuses me. It’s certainly not the whole reason for traveling, but aren’t vacations about seeing new stuff and trying new things?
