Fascinating Reading

Odds are, if you write a blog, you read blogs.

I know I do.I read my friends’ blogs. I read the blogs of people I don’t even know. Not many of those, mind you, but if I get linked to a good one, I’ll read through a bit of it. If I find a good one, I may take some time and read the whole thing. (Provided it’s not too much content to wade through.)

If I find a great one, I share it.

I found one today that simply must be shared. In a Slashdot discussion of some senator’s moronic comment on the addictiveness of internet porn, somebody linked to an utterly fascinating blog.

True Porn Clerk Stories

You might not find it as interesting as I do, but if you’ve ever worked retail (or any other customer service job), you really should check this one out.

Really.

Tales of freakish customers. Cash register psychology. Ruminations on the ways of the world that can only come from one who sees humanity at its very worst – in the act of shopping. It should serve as a cautionary note as well, especially as we (well, not me, but some of you) head into the busiest shopping time of the year. Be careful how you treat your clerks.

They may be blogging about you.
