As I mentioned yesterday, I did find a few things
worth buying at Design Festa. One artist (actually worthy of being called an
“artist”) had these great animal prints he’d made, using colors not usually
associated with the animals he was drawing. He had a really cool one of a tree
frog, but it was already mounted and framed, so he wanted $100 for it. Too rich
for my blood, but this one was just as
good:

The
pinks and oranges are much more vibrant on the actual print, and it’s very
spiffy looking. It’s about 15″ x 20″ and mounted on a foamcore type board. I’m
not sure if I’ll frame it or just hang it as-is. I need to get it hung though,
as the walls in my apartment are still rather
bare.
Hmmm…maybe I should devote this
weekend’s shopping excursions to decorating?
