And hey! I finally made that title graphic!
Yes, the era of change has begun! I’ve begun the site reorganization process. I’m not doing a full-on redesign, since thing seem to be working well enough as they are. There was room for a few tweaks, so that’s what I’m tackling now.First thing: That logo. Yeah, I know it’s been about 3-4 months that I’ve had the text up there, proclaiming the impending arrival of a “nifty title graphic,” but now it’s done. Well, partially. That’s the basic look of it, just not the final version. It still needs a little tweaking of its own and some cleaning up, but it’s better than the text. (Bonus points – and a free cookie – to anybody who knows the origin of the image. (I reserve the right to limit the number of free cookies.))
Next up: New blog categories! (and blog entry reassignment) I added two new categories today: “Mindless Musings,” for random stuff that I feel like writing about, and “Gratuitous Geekery,” which is where I’ll post about tech stuff and site updates. I’ve also renamed “Random Ramblings” to “Random Rantings” to give it a bit more focus, and to distinguish its content from that of “Mindless Musings.” Some entries have been moved from where I originally entered them to the more suitable of the present categories.
There will be some crossover between categories. I put the Fight Club game topic in GG, even though I was ranting about it. And the entry about my webstats is in RR, even though it’s about the site. Make sense? If not, just bear with me. Things will be placed in the category I think they fit best in. The latest 15 entries will remain on the front page as always, so the rearranging only really matters if you’re looking for an older entry.
Sooo….with that bit of blathering out of the way, we now return you to your regularly scheduled nonsense.
