A truckload of dead transformers

And not the kind you usually see on utility poles.

Walking home from work on night recently, I came across this sight, parked at the side of the road:

Now, I know that this isn’t all that unusual a sight, but I’ve just never seen it in my neighborhood before. It was parked in front of a school, not that that’s got any special significance. Unless they’d had some magical fighting robot presentation there that day. (Sounds very plausible, given the kinds of things I’ve seen transpire at elementary schools in some of the anime I’ve watched.)

It made for pretty cool photos too:

I kept peering into the masses of tangled metal, hoping to catch a glimpse of a robotic head or hand, but it all looked fairly plain. (Though the cabling does resemble mechanical tentacles. We’re probably better off not going down that road…)

Nothing more to report on this scene. It was gone the next day when I passed that corner on the way to work. I wonder where it all ended up, and what sort of mechanical beasties would rise from these tangled bits of destruction.
