TV the way it was meant to be seen

On DVD!

Yes, this is related to yesterday’s (pitiful) entry.I just finished watching all 24 episodes of the second season of 24. It’s so much nicer when you can watch TV at your own pace instead of having to wait for stuff to air, or try to catch it on tape or TiVo. DVD-TV is definitely the way to go.

Granted, I don’t think one needs to watch an entire 18-hour (accounting for the commercials not being present) series in two days, but with something like 24 it’s kind of easy to do. The way every episode ties to the next, and how they’ve got story arcs that go through certain episodes, with others picking up after some of them end….

It’s one hell of a ride.

I doubt you’d need to do this with something like Law & Order, or Friends, or anything else that’s purely episodic (or idiotic), but it’s nice to have the opportunity if you choose to do so. No need to tune in next week!I won’t go on about 24, except to say once again how cool it is, and that if you’ve not seen it yet, you really should.Oh, but could they go and kill off Jack Bauer’s daughter in Season 3? She’s too fucking stupid to be allowed to live any longer.
