Harajuku’s got it all!
Anybody who knows Harajuku’s rep usually thinks of the same things – punks, goths, cosplayers, trendy young urbanite shoppers and monks.
HUH?!?
Yeah, that last one doesn’t really fit, does it? That’s why I knew I had to stop and get this guy’s pic on the way to the Thai Food Festival:
Especially since he was set up in the same spot that the cosplayers and goths occupy on Sundays. (He was there on a Saturday.) He was looking so serene and chilled out, that it almost seemed rude to take his photo. But I think it was because he was so serene and chilled out that I felt almost obligated to get a shot of him.In case you’re wondering, no, I didn’t put any money in his bowl. But he looked like the forgiving kind of monk, and not some Shaolin ass-kicker, so I felt pretty safe even though I took a pic of him without giving anything in return.
