“Fusion” cuisine is popular in both Japan and Korea, but this restaurant sign I saw in Japan has got me stumped:

I can almost let the “Itarian” slide, since I’ve seen it in Korea too, but what’s with the “Viking” bit? I am completely at a loss to explain this one. Perhaps somebody a bit more familiar with Japan (or vikings) can tell me if there’s some weird cultural cross-pollination going on here. Anybody got a clue here, or is this yet one more thing that’ll defy any logical attempt at explanation?
