Yes, I consider teaching in Korea to have been a good thing.
Why?
1. I saved a lot of money this past year. Even though I took three trips to Japan, bought a new laptop, a new digital camera and two motorcycles, I still managed to save more than during my last gig.
2. I liked my job. Sure, some days were bad, but the good ones were more than good enough to make up for the bad ones.
3. I made new friends. Some of them were my students and others were folks in Japan. Not too many new friends here in Korea though. I guess that’s because of number 1 – saving money and not going out nearly as often as I used to.
4. I met a certain really cool chick. And in about 36 hours I’m going to be getting on to plane to go be with her.
5.…..and that’s why I’m cutting this list short.
I need to go pack! ^.^
