One thing I really dig about Japan (when compared to Korea) is the architecture. Sure, there’s lots of boring concrete boxes, but that’s not all there is. There are plenty of buildings here and there are really jump out at you.

And that’s just cool.

I was wandering around Shibuya last week, getting to know the area, when I came across a wicked-looking black building. The terraced look to the top floors seemed ideal for apartments (and I think they actually are), but the overall look of the building was just evil. Here, see for yourself:

Seriously, somebody should be plotting some sort of world domination plan up there.

Or at least having evil dinner parties.

Taken as a whole, the building loses some of its evil aura, mostly due to what’s on the first floor:

Then again, Disney’s corporate practices aren’t actually all sunshine and roses, so I suppose maybe it does fit the overall theme of the building….
