And he was a scary bear!
As I mentioned in yesterday’s entry, this past weekend was the Fall edition of Design Festa. Compared to the one I went to in May, this one was a bit of a disappointment. Not as many cool new character designs. No strange and offensive t-shirts. (Well, not that many.) And not a lot that was truly unique.
Except for this:

Yes, that’s three views of the same bear. That artist is one messed up dude! And that’s what I expect to see at Design Festa. What I saw this Saturday could’ve passed for one of those arts and crafts shows my mom dragged me too as a kid. Granted, they didn’t have Japanese metal bands thrashing out back on a stage made out of a flatbed truck, but art-wise there wasn’t much difference.I saw a few things worth taking photos of, and will be sharing those this week. I also found a couple things worth buying. It wasn’t a wasted trip, by any means, but it wasn’t what I’d expected either.
Oh well, there’s always next May’s show to look forward to.
