Yummy snacks can make you fat.

Here’s an easy one just about anybody can make!


Ingredients:

1 package of cream cheese (block, not tub, standard 250 gram size)sweet Thai chili sauceRitz Crackers (or some other cracker you like)

Directions:

1. Put cream cheese on a microwave safe plate. (If you’re by yourself, I suggest only using half the package.)

2. Pour sweet Thai chili sauce over the cream cheese. (Not the whole bottle, but enough to give it a good covering.)

3. Microwave for about 30 seconds on high. (You want the cream cheese to soften up a little, but not get all goopy.)

That’s it!

Use the crackers to scoop up the yummy mixture and enjoy.I learned this one from a coworker who’d made some for a pre-dinner snack after our school’s Halloween party. I hadn’t gotten around to doing it myself until just last night. It’s very yummy, but be careful how much you make. You’ll find yourself tempted to clean the plate, and that may be more than you really need to eat. You can always throw some plastic wrap over what’s left over and re-nuke it later. Alternatively, if you’re preparing this for a large group, you can get a larger block of cream cheese. (Adjust microwaving time according to size.)
