Traditional Japanese Xmas dinner

As far as I can tell, anyways.

Obviously, I’m not big into the whole Xmas thing, so it was purely by accident that I ordered out for the traditional Japanese Xmas dinner on Saturday. What was it?

Domino’s!

I know, some of you are going to try and call bullshit on this one, but it’s true. I mean, if it wasn’t why would the delivery time be two-and-a-half hours?!?

Yes, that’s right. It took that long to get a pizza delivered. Good thing (for them) they don’t have any kind of a “30 minutes or less” offer here. They’d go bankrupt over a busy weekend.

I didn’t really mind the delay that much. I wasn’t starving or anything, and I was quite pleased with myself at having been able to order in Japanese. That said, I doubt I’ll order pizza as often here as I did in Korea. The delivery time is a bit much and the pizza’s a lot more expensive. That pizza is an “M-size,” which is about the same as a small in the US. Even with a 25% off coupon it was still ¥1,800. Worth it, but not something I’ll order out for every weekend.

But it’s nice to know I can if I need to. ^.^
