OMGWTFSNOW?!? – Part 2

Winter comes to Tokyo

I saw my first snow of the winter while I was in Korea
getting my visa
processed.

Today, I got my
first Tokyo snow.

The forecast
today had called for rain and a high of 8 degrees (Celsius). It was drizzling a
bit when I took my trash out this morning and I thought I saw a few flakes, but
that couldn’t have been right, could it? Surely I was just imagining
things?

No,
I surely wasn’t.

That photo was
taken around 10:30, about two hours after taking out my trash. This next photo
was just one hour after
that.

And
it just kept on coming…

I didn’t
document it beyond that point, because I’m pretty sure everybody knows what snow
looks like. Some of you have probably already gotten more than you’d like this
year. But this was my first snow here in Tokyo, so I figured it was worth a
couple photos at least.

I’d thought
about going out and about, but it was a bit colder than I’d prefer for a day of
walking around and taking pictures. Besides, when I can just lay in bed and have
a view like the photo below, it’s not like I need to go out to enjoy the snow?
