But I did almost adopt a kid today. Very small, very cute, and very furry:
I hadn’t even set out to go shopping for a bunny. I’d gone to this store to get a kitchen table and I noticed they had a pet section. Like a lot of people, I’m a sucker for pet departments. Usually just to go and look – it’s not like I’m a compulsive pet buyer or anything.The bunnies were very cute, and would make really nice pets. I’ve been wanting a pet for some time, and thought I’d pretty much settled on a ferret. But the bunnies were pretty reasonably priced for Japan (I’ve seem some places selling rabbits for $400 or more) and would be easy to care for. They’re not as manic or entertaining as ferrets – but they are cuter.

As I was already going to be lugging a table home, a bunny seemed to be adding a bit much to the load. I may go back for one of them (or one like them) later, but it just wasn’t doable today. I do like the idea, though…
