Another installment in my ongoing “bigger is better” lifestyle.
I haven’t been playing my PSP much lately, but there are a few things coming out soon that have me eager to play it again. First and foremost among them – Wipeout Pure.If you’ve never played any of the Wipeout games – they rule. My personal favorite? Wipeout XL. (Also known as Wipeout 2097 on PC.) Since I’ve been looking forward to playing Pure, I thought I’d try and track down a copy of XL to get myself back in the swing of things.

Okay, so PS1 games get a little blocky when they’re blown up that big, but who gives a crap? Wipeout rules, and it rules even more when it’s that big. Kind of like that scene in Hackers where Angelina Jolie and Jonny Lee Miller are playing Wipeout on a massive screen. I remember watching that and thinking, “damn, it’d be so awesome to play that on a screen that big.”
Well, now I pretty much can. ^.^
