“The wonder drug that works wonders.”

You know what, they weren’t fucking joking.

As I mentioned a couple weeks ago, I’d messed my back up (again) and I had to go back to the chiropractor to get things readjusted. Things have been fine since then.

In fact, I almost feel normal.

I can toss small children around, I can lift large sacks of charcoal, I can do all the basic stuff one does with nothing more than the occasional twinge in my lower back. Life is good. So what’s got me feeling so good?

Ibuprofen. Lots of it.

I used to hate the stuff, since I tore the hell out of my stomach whenever I took it. Jane had a bottle with her during her visit and let me have some. I was skeptical, given its past effects, but I needed to take something.

Amazingly, it was just what I needed.

Two pills, three times a day and I’m good to go. I think the problem in the past was the dosage. Instead of the normal 200mg tablets you get at the store, I was always getting the 800mg horse pills. Where’d I get those?

Ah, the joy of military medicine.

But I’m really liking the effects of the smaller, human-sized pills. So much so that I’ve asked Jane to send me a ginormous bottle of them.

I just hope it gets here before the small bottle runs out. ^.^
