A brief vacation rundown.

Just to give you some idea what’s in store.

I’m still sorting through trip notes and photos and stuff, so here’s a rough outline of how my vacation went. (I haven’t decided yet if I’m going to blog things sequentially or just as they come to me. In case I get all random, this handy timeline will be helpful in keeping things from getting too confusing.)

09 Aug
Depart Tokyo

10 Aug
Arrive in Sydney, go geek shopping, see some sights

11 Aug
An awesome breakfast, more sights, a little more shopping

12 Aug
Fly to Adelaide, get a tour of the town, spend time in a pub

13 Aug
Take a motorcycle ride, see some sights, spend time in a pub, get introduced to Aussie sports culture

14 Aug
Go wine tasting, watch more Aussie Rules Football

15 Aug
Head up to the Outback (no, not the fucking steakhouse), see some thousands-years-old paintings, meet some kangaroos, see an awesome view, spend some time in a pub

16 Aug
Go for a hike, see an even more awesome view, see some emus, head over to a coastal town, spend some time in a pub, eat a kangaroo (not a whole one, though)

17 Aug
Attempt to go fishing, head back to Adelaide

18 Aug
Spend the day in town, do a little shopping, spend some time in a pub

19 Aug
Spend the day in town again, spend a lot of time in a pub, shut down a young Aussie’s drinking boasts, spend the night in town

20 Aug
Finish packing, head to the airport, fly out for home

21 Aug
Arrive back in TokyoAs I said, that’s just a rough outline. Each day had numerous goings-on (most of which aren’t mentioned here) that are worthy of their own posts. And as such, they’re going to get them. Just be patient.

This is going to take a while.
