Pack your speakers last.

I knew there was one tip I’d forgotten.

I don’t think anybody would describe packing as “fun,” and doing it in silence would make it even worse.

So pack your speakers last.

Or stereo, or whatever is you use to listen to music. Headphones aren’t an option. What if the movers call to get more info from you? Do you really want to miss that call?

And if you’ve got a big system (like a 5.1 setup), pack part of it, but keep some essentials. I’ve been listening to online radio while packing things up, and I hardly need full-on surround sound for that. I’ve got the receiver, sub and two front speakers still out, and that’s more than enough. I get decent audio quality, and it’s not so much that I can’t get it all packed up while the movers start loading up the rest of my junk.

Just thought that was worth sharing.
