I don’t mind mid-season cliffhangers, really I don’t. I pretty much expect them with every show now. Before you go on hiatus, you leave everybody hungry for more.
Pretty standard stuff.
But – and here’s the thing – is it absolutely necessary to end the first episode back from hiatus…
…with a freaking cliffhanger?!?
No, you don’t. I mean, it’s not like I wasn’t going to tune in (or download, in my case) next week if this episode had had a nice, satisfying ending. And yeah, I do like that the series has some seriously long plot arcs (something not seen since Babylon 5).
But a little resolution now and then is a good thing, you know?
