“Love Hag” has been dethroned.

Inappropriateness has reached new heights.

I’ve blogged before about the weird things printed on some of my students’ clothes. Some of it is odd and a fair bit is downright weird.

And then there are the ones that reach a whole new level of wrong.

I used to think this one was as bad as it could get:

Man, was I ever wrong.

The boys’ clothes tend to be bizarre, which I’m cool with. It’s the stuff that the girls wear that really gets me. It’s almost as though somebody’s trying to encourage people thinking impure thoughts about 4 year-old girls. Don’t believe me?

Then check this out:

This was on the back of a skirt worn by a 4 year-old girl.

What! The! Fuck?!?

On what warped scale of fashion choices could this be considered a good one? This kid is probably 4 years away from having breasts of her own, so what’s the whole “begin” bit about?

What’s even more disturbing was the matching shirt she had on one day. (She’s worn the skirt several times, but I’ve only seen the shirt once.) It’s a mostly plain, long-sleeved t-shirt, and on the front it says:

“Shapes of Love”

Now, there are two hearts next to that phrase, so I suppose maybe that’s the idea somebody’s trying to communicate. But when you combine that phrase with the one on the skirt….

What I really want to know is this: Who designs these things for little girls? Are the fashion designers progressive women trying to be shocking and witty? Or is a bunch of pedophile men living out forbidden dreams though fashion fantasy?
